No emulator

A Viking Rise bot that needs
no emulator at all

Almost every bot for a mobile strategy game is really a script driving an Android emulator on your desktop. It works — as long as you accept that the desktop becomes the bot. There is another shape.

What an emulator setup actually asks of you

The download is free, which is what makes the cost easy to miss. It shows up afterwards, in hardware:

  • Memory, per account. Every concurrent account is another Android instance with its own share of RAM. This is the wall most people hit first.
  • A machine that stays on. Gathering does not pause for the night, so neither does the PC. Idle marches are exactly what you were trying to avoid.
  • Heat, noise and power. A desktop running several emulated phones is a space heater with a fan curve.
  • A PC you cannot really use. The instances want the CPU, and the automation wants the screen it is clicking on.

What a cloud device is instead

A cloud Android device is a real Android instance running in a data centre. The game is installed there, it stays logged in there, and the automation drives it there. Your machine is not part of the loop at any point.

In practice, that means the difference is not a feature you switch on — it is what is missing. There is nothing to download, nothing to keep open, and nothing that stops when you close your laptop.

The honest comparison

Cloud is not better at everything, and pretending otherwise would be a sales pitch rather than a comparison:

  • Emulators win on control. It is your machine, you can script anything the game exposes, and you pay no one a subscription.
  • Emulators win on breadth. A general-purpose bot can automate building, training and events. vikingsBot gathers, and that is all it does.
  • Cloud wins on scale. The tenth account costs the same as the first — no extra RAM, no second PC, no rebuild.
  • Cloud wins on unattendance. Nothing of yours is running, so nothing of yours has to stay awake, stay online or survive a Windows update at 4am.
Worth knowing

Running in the cloud does not make automation permitted. It is against the game's terms of service wherever it runs, and moving it off your PC changes the logistics, not the rules. What it does change is that a crash, a reboot or a power cut on your side no longer costs you a night of gathering.

What you actually do instead

The setup is a web page and a few minutes. There is no client to install, which is the entire point:

  • Sign in on the site and add your Viking Rise account details.
  • Pick a gathering preset — priority order, random, or lowest-first.
  • Close the tab. The cloud device does the rest, whether or not you ever open the site again.

Questions, answered.

Do I need LDPlayer, BlueStacks or any emulator?

No. vikingsBot runs your accounts on cloud Android devices we operate. There is nothing to download and nothing to install — you configure the accounts in a browser and close it.

Does anything run on my phone?

No. Your phone is not involved at all. You can keep playing Viking Rise on it normally, on the accounts vikingsBot is not running.

What happens if my internet goes down?

Nothing changes for the accounts. They are running in a data centre, not on your connection — your internet only matters when you want to open the site and change a setting.

Is a cloud device the same as a VPS running an emulator?

It is the same idea — someone else's hardware doing the work — with the setup, the maintenance and the per-account cost handled for you rather than by you.
